We will drive you to your hotel and get you booked in so you can unwind from your travels, rest and relax. Later we will show you around the popular tourist area that is the Thamel District where you will find all the services you require including restaurants, supermarkets ATM machines and money exchange facilities. In addition if you have forgotten anything you may need on the trip you will have an opportunity to buy it now.Once back at your overnight hotel we will have a chat about the upcoming tour and possible options, and you will get to meet our team and the guides who will accompany you throughout the tour.Overnight in your hotel. ACCOMMODATIONLUNCH HOURSSIGNAL Day 02 : Kathmandu SightseeingFollowing breakfast at our hotel we will set off on our tour visiting many places of interest such as: Pashupatinath Temple, the Bouddhanath Stupa and Patan CityToday’s tour will uncover some of the many historical, spiritual and cultural riches of Kathmandu which boasts no less than seven UNESCO Cultural Heritage Sites. The buildings and monuments display a significant variety of historic and artistic accomplishment.The Pashupatinath Temple – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an Elegant and highly decorative Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Temple sits on the banks of Bagmati River and is noteworthy for its pagoda style of architecture and its gilded roof. The rafters feature members of Shiva’s family and its silver plated entrance doors are bordered by statues of deities. Entrance is restricted to Hindus but its exterior is remarkable and well worth the visit. Outside you will see many holy men (Sadhus), and the river banks are a popular place for Hindu cremations. It is one of the most important Temples for Hindu devotees worldwide. During February or March, the day of Maha Shivaratri (an annual festival dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva) is celebrated here.We will visit the Bouddhanath Stupa which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the holiest Tibetan Buddhist Temple outside Tibet. It is over 328ft (100m) diameter and wall-to-wall length is about the size of a football pitch. Boudhanath is among the largest Stupa in Nepal and one of the largest in the world. The Stupa has 4 eyes which represent the all-seeing ability of the Buddha; they face four prime directions constantly looking out for virtuous behaviour and human success. The Stupa’s nose symbolizes Nirvana.We will then drive to Patan city to visit more UNESCO world heritage sites including Patan Durbar Square where we will find the Krishna Temple, the Golden temple and the Patan museum.On our return the rest of your time is free for individual activities. ACCOMMODATIONLUNCH HOURSSIGNAL Day 03 : Drive to PokharaBetween 6 and 8 o’clock you will take breakfast at your hotel, we will then depart for our journey to Pokhara.By road this takes 6-7 hours but for a supplemental charge we can arrange for you to take a half hour flight instead.If we drive to Pokhara our route will follow the Prithvi Highway. As we leave the Kathmandu valley the road descends to the Trisuli River. Our route follows the river until its junction with the Marsyangdi River. We then follow the Marsyandi along through terraced fields and scenic hillside villages. At a suitable point along the highway we will break for lunch.Pokhara is a beautiful city of lakes and Mountains.Overnight stay at Pokhara. ACCOMMODATIONLUNCH HOURSSIGNAL Day 04 : Fly to Jomson and visit Muktinath TempleAfter breakfast at our hotel we will drive to Pokhara Airport for our flight to Jomsom. This breathtaking flight will take about 20 minutes. As we fly above Pokhara valley we will have a memorable view of the majestic Himalayan Mountains. Initially we will see the famous Annapurna range and then we will fly past spectacular snow-capped peaks of the Dhaulagiri range. From Jomsom airport we will take about 1 and half hours jeep drive (20km) to Muktinath. It will then be a half hour of walk to the Muktinath (God of Salvation) temple at an altitude of 3,800m. After visiting the temple we will walk back to Muktinath and then take a Jeep ride back to Jomsom for our overnight stay. ACCOMMODATIONLUNCH HOURSSIGNAL Day 05 : Fly back pokhara and pokhara SightseeingAfter breakfast we fly from Jomsom airport to Pokhara and return to our hotel to get refreshed ready for the Pokhara valley tour.We will be visiting places of interest around Pokhara such as: Davis falls, Mahendra cave and the Phewa Lake which is the second largest lake of Nepal and the ideal place to take a peaceful boating trip. Beyond the World Peace Stupa in Pokhara we will find the Davis falls and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave which at 9,678 ft/2,950 meters long is one of the longest in Nepal. The main cave comprises two chambers which house several shrines, the largest of which is dedicated to Shiva.We will visit the two-storied Tal-Barahi temple. According to tradition the goddess Barahi Bhagwati dressed herself as a beggar and visited the area. One by one all of the inhabitants spurned her apart from one woman who showed her kindness. In return she warned that woman that a huge flood was on its way. Accordingly the woman gathered her family together and beat a hasty retreat thus avoiding the inevitable flood which thundered down from the mountains and destroyed the village. Later to show their gratitude the woman and her family build the island and erected the Tal-Barahi templeThere are also further options for outdoor activities as Pokhara is famous for boating, trekking, and extreme sports like rafting, zip-lining, canoeing and bungee jumping or even an exciting ultra-light (microlight) flight. In your free time you can choose such an adventure or just relax before spending a pleasant evening and an overnight stay in a hotel. If you wish to go by air it will take half an hour (for a supplementary cost). The journey by road takes 6-7 hours. We will have lunch en-route and. The drive back takes us along the spectacular Prithvi Highway which winds through 128 miles (206km) of traditional “Middle Hills” countryside and past some of Nepal’s finer attractions. On our way we can visit the Manakamana Temple which is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bhagawati who is believed to be an incarnation of goddess Parvati.The derivation of the name Manakamana is a combination of the words Mana (meaning heart) and Kamana (a wish ). This is because worshippers believe that the Goddess Manakamana is able to grant their hearts wishes.It is worth checking out the fascinating story behind the legend of Manakamana Goddess.Access to the temple is now fortunately by cable car thus avoiding a particularly strenuous climb.When we arrive at Kathmandu you will check into your hotel after which you will have some free time to wander and explore the streets, shops and sights of Thamel.
