Is this the Trek for Me?

If you lead a busy life and only have a limited time to explore the Nealese Himalayas then consider the Everest View Trek. This package has been especially created to focus on people like you. It is a relatively easy route that takes you up high along trails to the famous Tengboche monastery. The Mount Everest view Trek includes opportunities to view the spectacular sight of the world’s highest mountains. Some of the more spectacular views include Everest, Lohtse, Nuptse, Thamsherku, Ama Dablam and many other beautiful snow-capped mountains. This amazing trek captures the essence of Nepal with its remarkable rivers, magnificent vegetation and wild life. If you are lucky you may see Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer, Snow leopard and many other species. You will also experience the unique local lifestyles culture and tradition that you will typically find in Sherpa villages.

There are so many amazing sights and experiences as you make your way towards the beautiful views of Mount Everest.

The Trek

The journey begins in the medieval and historic city of Kathmandu. From here you will take a short spectacular and memorable mountain flight. Your destination is the beautiful village of Lukla (2800m) located in the heart of the Solukhumbu region.

The trek continues through the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, with pine forests, rhododendrons and an abundance of wildlife.  A day of rest is necessary upon reaching Namche Bazaar (3440m) in order to get acclimatized to higher altitudes. The following day’s destination is Tengboche which at 3,870m is home to one of the highest Buddhist monasteries on earth.  Many Photographers regard Tengboche as a wonderful place to capture the awesome beauty of Mt. Everest and also its neighbouring peaks.

The concluding days of this adventure will be spent in the delightful and scenic villages of Khunde (3,500m) and Khumjung. , Here we will have the opportunity to interact with the legendary Sherpa people and participate in their astonishing traditional lifestyle.

From there we return to Lukla from where we will take a short flight back to Kathmandu. We will enjoy our last views of the awe-inspiring Himalayan range and its people.

This is A day set aside for “acclimatization”. Health experts recommend us to stay active and moving during this rest day. We either spend the day taking a day’s hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazzar is the main centre of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. If we trek a few hundred vertical feet during the day, it will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region.

The trail to Namche Bazar clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma, winding through several bends. We lookout for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colourful pheasants etc. while we pass through the forest by the trail. We have enough time in Namche to shop and relax in a bakery that serves coffee and cakes, and provides Internet access. A steep descent from Namche Hill leads to the suspension bridge crossing the Dudh Kosi river near the confluence of the Dhudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. We cross the Dudh Koshi River twice at separate locations before reaching Monjo. Upon this juncture, we are out of the Sagarmatha National Park after exiting from its official entrance near Monjo and finally reach Monjo Village. Monjo is comparatively a quieter place to stay than Namche and it also means our porters have a less strenuous walk back to Lukla next day.

Today, we start to get warmed up by the light breeze. Although we are traveling the same route down, we feel completely different views. We snap a mixture of open plains, rhododendron and pine forests, and in the distance snow covered peaks. We take time and walk leisurely today as this is the last day of our trek. We reexperience the Sherpa villages’ impressive faith in Buddhism and culture of prayer stones and prayers flag while we walk through the villages. Upon arrival in Lukla, we have plenty of time to relax, stretch those sore legs, and recall the experiences of the last couple of days. We experience the culmination of a fantastic trek on a happy note with everyone back safe and sound with smile on faces! Upon arrival in Lukla, we stroll around while our leader will re-confirm our flight ticket. In the evening, we enjoy last dinner with our crew.
